Favorite track: Aura Amethyst: Her Gaze Cast Obsidian Death.
Metallurgical Fire

Metallurgical Fire For those who already bought this on the Eternium page: the extra tracks here are totally worth grabbing this edition. Though raw, the genius present on these songs shines through clearly. Aura Amethyst MMXII has been on repeat for me. Favorite track: Aura Amethyst MMXII.

about

Eternium was my first solo project from 2010-2013, the first demo "Aura Titian being released when I was 15 and the latter album being released when I was 18. Blatantly inspired by melodic black metal classics, the demo "Aura Titian" and "Repelling A Solar Giant" are the gateway of knowing that I wanted to make "concept" albums for the rest of my career. Repelling A Solar Giant was the transitional album that later on continued to make the "Tchornobog" album, with a bridge missing in between (that will be released in time as well.) This can clearly be seen with allusions to "Inverting A Solar Giant" off the Tchornobog album.

Initially I was embarrassed to even unearth these recordings due to my dislike of the production and vocal performances, but nostalgia and distaste of book burning took care of that spell. I'd like to thank Chad, Gabe, Cole, Brent, and Ryan for having played alongside me as well as contribute recordings to this album in 2013, as well as continuing to be some of the biggest supporters of this mess since then.

Additional thanks to Blast Head Records, Ken Sarafin for the artwork, and the general populace of St. Louis, Missouri, for the support.

[Writing below from 2013]:

Repelling A Solar Giant follows Aura Titian, god of "positive life" and worshiper of the sun. Aura Amethyst comes in to the picture, the two come together and create life of two balanced sides, positive and negative. After an eternity of creation, the sun destroys Amethyst with a solar flare. Titian is devastated and denounces his worship of the sun. A journey follows his perspective into the realm of massless soul, and False Amethyst as a place-holder mannequin. The two give birth to Aura Rubicon, a crimson and neutral god of creation, who soon takes his life to describe the condition of the first death -- the Sun is possessed by an entity Noir. The album concludes with the Earth and Sun clashing into each other, and being lifted by Aura Rubicon into "the next realm." As the auras rise, a quick dark of blackness can be seen entering the portal with them...
